Swtiching between two bikes -- One Wireless, One Wired

Post by DavidSkater »

I'm sure there is an easy answer to this, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. My iBike is used wirelessly on my road bike and I would like to use the same unit unit on my indoor trainer in a wired set up. I have all the hardware and the trainer profile loaded. However, when I go from the road bike (wireless) to the trainer (wired), the bike sometimes does not pick up the wired sensor. What is the step-by-step process one should do when going from the wireless bike to wired and visa versa. I have been able to have the unit work eventually on both bikes. . . I'm just not exactly sure what I did to make it happen.

Thank You!

Let's assume you've set up your wireless iBike in Profile 1 (Setup/Prof 1).

To use your iBike indoors, go to Setup and select Prof 2. While in Setup and while connected to your wired mount do a Scan so that your profile 2 will be set for a wired mount. Also, set USER to YES and then set TRNR to ON. Your iBike will be ready to go for your indoor, wired trainer mount.

When going back to wireless set TRNR to off and profile to PROF 1.
