2 separate questions.
I just uploaded the data from my V3. I noticed on 2 occasions my rides were split into multiple files. This hasn't happened before. For the ride on the 23rd (ice cream run with my wife), I had a 30ish minute pitstop in the middle. The ride on the 25th (hilly, for me, ride) had a 3 minute or so water break in the middle.
Is this expected behavior? Presumably I can use File > Combine/Split > Append device file... to merge them?
Other question: I rode 3 days ago and yesterday, but those rides didn't show up in the list. I had power readings show on my Garmin for both. I shut down my PowerPod (5 clicks on power button) when I got home (battery was dead at the beginning of the previous ride; I charged to the halfway point and then turned it on; thought I'd shut it down explicitly to save a bit of life)... does that cancel the recording?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Re: One ride, multiple files; last 2 rides didn't record
Ferris took the day off, so I'm filling-in for him
If you stop for more than 10 minutes, the ride file will automatically split. That seems to have happened on your 5/23 ride.
Another thing that will split ride files is when the PP battery is low. That may have happened on your 5/25 ride.
I merged both rides; attached.

Re: One ride, multiple files; last 2 rides didn't record
I hope he's feeling better!
Thank you for the reply.
Those both make sense (for splitting). Cool.
Any idea about the rides not recorded? I had power readings during both but no saved files. I just checked (I've done 2 more rides since the original message) and new rides are saving. Is there a low battery level that permits readings and ANT but is insufficient for storage I/O?
I don't download after every ride, and apparently I found how long mine will make it before it gets thirsty. On 5/25 I rode with a portable charger plugged in for the first half of the ride (apparently it doesn't charge and work at the same time), then turned it on for the second half (figure it charges faster than it dissipates). When I got back, I left it plugged in to that charger. I didn't notice the red light flashing as I believe happens when the computer is charging it. Perhaps not a good charger for this?

Your memory might be full. Use the "Device/Erase All Ride Files" command to empty it out.droffsite wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:30 pm

When your PP battery is full it won't flash. I'm sure your computer cable charger is fine.

Re: One ride, multiple files; last 2 rides didn't record
Memory was at 41% (I always erase after downloading).
Re: One ride, multiple files; last 2 rides didn't record
Ride files might be there; if your device lost date/time then you will not see the most recent files with correct date/time.
