Hi there,
My PowerPod has recently begun to over-read. Would you be able to look into it? I am attaching one of the affected files from 3 Jun 2017. As a reference see file from 28 May where the numbers are ok.
Thanks,
Jakub

Re: PowerPod inconsistent measurements
Hi Velocomp,
Will you be able to look into this please? I contacted the tech support earlier this week but I have not heard from them either.

Re: PowerPod inconsistent measurements
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Your 5/28 file is fine, except after you complete your ride at the one hour mark. You have about 18 minutes of wheel speed of about 3 mph, with zero cadence. By any chance, are you putting your bike on a bike carrier, and does the speed sensor wheel spin?
In any event, the last 15 minutes of your 5/28 ride caused the tilt calibration of PP to go out of whack. On your June 3 ride, PP spent the first 8 minutes of the ride readjusting its internal setting; after that, things were ok, except again at the very end of the ride. Here, bike speed and cadence are very high, but wind speed is zero.
What is going on at the end of your rides?

Re: PowerPod inconsistent measurements
hi John,
So in other words, PP spent the first 8 minutes of the June 3 ride recalibrating due to the change in tilt which happened at 1h mark of the May 28 ride, correct? How big was the change in tilt? I was suspecting this was the issue but I couldnt really see any difference by eyeballing.
I snapped my chain during a TT on 28 May, rode off-track which may have upset the tilt. Then I had to walk to the finish line which shows as 3km/h with no cadence.
Re the 3 June ride, I did the final portion on rollers which shows as high speed and cadence but no wind.
Thanks,
Jakub

Re: PowerPod inconsistent measurements
I'm sure all the variousvpotential different scenarios that PP is being played through - were likely never on the original designers' minds, and now likely consistently baffles them and John!

Re: PowerPod inconsistent measurements
Yes, your ride conditions would definitely mess-up the calibration. No worries, though: on your next ride, after 8 minutes PP will self-correct everything.Kubaty wrote:hi John,
