Orange light

Post by IanMc »

I have a powerpod that has been working fine since I got it at the beginning of March however, yesterday I got a solid orange light. It is fully charged and I have tried a hard reset by pressing the button for 10 seconds. The powerpod is paired to my Garmin 1000 OK and the ANT+ sensors are paired. I`ve also tried it on my other bike with same result.

A mate of mine has a powerpod purchased at the same time , his is running out of charge and not lasting a whole ride, this is after a full charge.

Have your friend email technicalsupport@velocomp.com

Are you paired to a DFPM?

When you started riding, did the light change to flashing? If so, how?

The light stays solid, no flashing.

DFPM = Direct force power meter

Please do the following:

1) Leave your bike motionless for 20 minutes, so that your sensors are asleep.

2) Click the PowerPod button to awaken it. What is the condition (color and flashing) of the status light?

3) Then, spin the speed sensor wheel. What happens to the sensor light of the PowerPod?

Next steps will follow...

Ok, this is interesting, I have connected the power pod to the Issac software, uploaded all the rides and it has also upgraded the latest firmware. The orange light has now gone and now it is ready to calibrate with a flashing yellow light. Looks like this should now be OK. My question is now, is it necessary to connect to the Issac software to upload the rides and check for updates?

It's still unclear what is going on.

Please follow the instructions exactly as described and we will definitely figure out what is going on.
