Big Thumbs Up

Post by lspringett »

So I have been rather unlucky with my PP and had to return it twice.

I wanted to post on here the say a few things.

Firstly how fantastic the technical support guys have been in arranging replacements and sorting out my hardware issues (I'm in the UK and they have never charged me postage or anything).

Secondarily, a big thanks for all the support in here getting me set-up. I like many posted endless questions and O&B rides to get sorted but Velocomp was always happy to reply and help.

Finally, the new auto O&B calibration. So I tried this on both my bikes using my spare two profiles and they both dialed in pretty much in-line with the adjusted profile Velocomp had manually sorted for me, very impressive!!!!

Think we can all agree, plenty of other larger firm could learn a thing or two from these guys.....

Your more than welcome,

Just to check alls fine, can you please just check this file please as went out in full aero get-up today (Helmet, skin-suit and a slightly new position) and want to be sure.

Should be setup for TT position, on 23 utility clinchers, asphelt blend, light traffic. First 8 minutes was calibration.

Also, during the season I will be jumping between a 50m carbon clincher and disc tub on the rear, will this make much difference and is there a quick way to pre-set this i.e. another profile that I manually change too or will it auto jump back to profile 2 when detects garmin sensor?

Cheers

Your wind is a bit low so I used Check Calibration to fix it...

I would use the same profile for both wheels. Unless you're traveling at speeds on the flats higher than 27 mph, the difference won't be significant.

We are doing a bunch of CdA analysis right now, so if you want to post some ride files later in the season, with both wheels, we will take a look.

Use the profile. The first 8 minutes of your next ride may be odd but after that things will be fine

Sorry to bump this one back up but put the new powerpod onto the TT bike yesterday and loaded the profile you posted above. Went for a ride to work and numbers seemed quite hot (even after the initial 8 minutes).

So went out and did a little out and back ride today and again the number seemed bumped. Ran through calibration and wants to make significant changes again down into what appears to me more accurate numbers.

PP in same position and level both time. I want in TT tuck for majoity as well.

Please can you have a look and advice best cause of action please.

Yes, it looks a bit "hot".

I used the Check Calibration feature to obtain the profile attached.
