No Ride Data

Post by Phil »

I have been using my PowerPod since April 2016. The power data displayed on my Garmin Edge 800 when I am riding seems fairly accurate most of the time. However, today I decided to calibrate my PowerPod by doing a 10-minute out and back ride. I have now connected my PowerPod to my laptop and launched Isaac. When I go to Device --> Download Ride Data... my ride is not listed. In fact, none of my rides since early May are listed. I have been riding 4-5 times per week for the last three months. (Note that I do have power showing on my Garmin when I am riding and power data from a power meter when I upload my ride data from my Garmin to Strava so my PowerPod is working). Where is all my ride data? Thanks.

It's possible your PP memory is full. Use the command "Device/Erase all Ride Data..." to free-up your PP ride memory.

It says that it's only 77% full.

Check the ride dates. If you did a hard reset then the dates of your most recent rides will be wrong, even though they have been recorded.

So, your ride files may in fact be there, but the date and time of them would be wrong.

Thanks John. It appears that the ride data had all incorrect dates. I am unsure how that happened as I have never done a hard reset (I do not know how to do one). I downloaded all 54 rides (Device --> Download Ride Data). I cannot tell what is what because the dates are incorrect. So, I erased all the ride data on my PP (Device --> Erase All Ride Data) and then I set the time and date on my PP (Device --> Setup --> Set Time and Date). Now at least my ride data will have the correct time and date. I will do a 10-minute calibration ride and then check the calibration of my PP (Analyze --> Check calibration).
