I've had my iBike for over 2 years, and I'm just starting to get serious with it . In that vein, I've noticed a change in the files recently, possibly since I installed iBike 3. I looked around and couldn't find an existing topic on this subject, so here's my question: has the file format changed from iBike 2 to iBike 3? I'm not having any problems, but the .csv files have a long string of characters at the end of each data line.
Just curious as to what it may be for.
Oh yea, does anyone know how long will the Gen I to Gen III upgrade program be available? I would really like to take advantage of it, but won't have the bike-budget restocked until Jan or Feb.
F/W is 1.18
S/W is 3.02
Thanks for any info!

File Format Change/ New column?
Re: File Format Change/ New column?
Yes I was wondering the same thing.
It would be useful to have a full disciption of all the header data on the cvs files. Some things are obvious but some are cryptic, and some don't change from one file to the next.

Re: File Format Change/ New column?
Not sure if this is the right subject to post. Last two files I downloaded from Gen3, have produced some missing entries in the CSV file: M4=0, N4=0, and R4=Inf (tilt, weigt, and Crr). If I let autocorrection to run after download, there is no power in the graph. If I prevent autocorrection, and reopen the file, I can see in the summary window that Crr is set to Inf, but weight is shown.
I think this started when I updated Rider Weight through Device / Other Settings / Send Weight and Wheel Circumference to iBike.
I tried manually to update those cells (using values from a good file), but iBike software did not like it. Is something broken with updating weight through Device / Other Settings, or should I update it through profile only?
Thanks,
Denny

Re: File Format Change/ New column?
There is a lot of new information stored in the iBike 3 ride file format. Most of it is background information that can be used to check things if a ride file has been sent to us for analysis. Don't mess with the information in the far right columns; it could screw up your ride file!
Do NOT attempt to change the csv file information manually (except the data columns for watts, speed, etc).
We'll try to get an explanation of other things for you.
There's no end date planned for the upgrade program.
