Differences in 2 calibration rides

Post by albafar »

Yesterday I did two calibration rides. The one at 11.05 was an out and back ride riding a long curve. The second ride at 11.13 was a straight line out and back ride. When using the check calibration function on the first ride it suggests the power is too the high. Whereas when analyzing the second ride it suggests the power is too low. How come and which of the two rides should I use for the re-calibration of my profile. Or should I even keep the current profile or averaging the two? Btw - I also need to adjust the rider weight down by 2 kg - but thought I would do that in a second stage.

Are you sure that the message did not say something along the line of small to insignificant change? Or did the position of your PP change? Or were you just looking at the power values for each ride and the changes to those - a couple percent is nothing much.

You might also consider taking the parameters from both rides and average each one and use that as your setup.

Small changes can be due to all sorts of things, including road surface or tire pressure changes.

After all this - John will give you better wisdom.

I used the "Analyze/Check Calibration" feature.

For your 1105 ride it shows that your wind is off.

Your 1113 ride looks good, however.

I would use the 1113 calibration
