Repairing missing cadence

Post by msduran »

Hi.
It never happened before. Today, all of a sudden, I had a missing cadence reading on my Garmin for a short time on a ride.
During that time, however, I had consistent power reading for my effort, so it didn't bother me and I kept riding till the end with no interventions.
At home, I noticed that power readings were missing on the downloaded file during that same time cadence was missing.
I tried to use the "repair selection for missing cadence" tool, but I got power readings far from reasonable.
Any ideas? Or the repair tool is a work in progress (Isaac 5.1.0)?
Thanks.

I don't have an explanation for why cadence dropped out on your uphill.

There appears to be a bug in Isaac causing incorrect power when the "repair cadence" function is used.

Sorry I don't have better news...

What kind of cadence sensor are you using? If it is magnetic, perhaps the extra effort on the cranks is shifting the magnet out of range? Just a guess.
