Strange result of Power Stroke

Post by karel_k »

Hi, I have two workouts from today. First one looks pretty good, but the second one doesn't even show any Power Stroke information. The second one was after a coffee break we took in the middle of our training today. Is it possible to analyze what went wrong? I am attaching the second file.
Thank you very much for the help.

Your PP did not find your cadence sensor. This is why PowerStroke information is missing. Make sure you wake-up your cadence sensor before reawakening PP.

Thanks, John for the prompt answer. It's the first time it happens like that. I will try to awake cadence sensor before PP. Is there any way how to check for example on my Garmin that there is a problem with finding a cadence sensor? My Garmin is obviously connecting with Cadence sensor directly :(.

I think what happened is that you woke up PowerPod before you reawakened your cadence sensor. There was an extended period of time after you reawakened PowerPod and when your cadence sensor reawakened. PowerPod gives up looking for the cadence sensor after about 1 minute. So, the simple fix is to reawaken the cadence sensor first or, if you awaken PowerPod first, immediately get on your bike and ride around a bit.

I agree with you. This didn't happen anytime before. Good to know now. I went today on the bike as well and I have two workouts all is finely recorded as I pay attention to awake up cadence sensor and PP then.
Thank you for great support as always.
