I am ready to buy a Specialized Roubaix Expert UDi2 and read somewhere that Di2 does not work with power meters .... find this strange.
does Newton work with Di2?

Honestly, I'm not sure what the question is that you are asking.

I have a Di2 on my bike and I have been riding with it, and Velocomp products, for 8 years now...

But there is no "communication" between Di2 and our products.

Your question doesn't make sense, however

1) The PP transmits power data that a head unit can pick up and record.
2) Di2 with the ANT+ unit can transmit data that a head unit can pick up and record
3) There is no interaction between PP and Di2
