I was disappointed to find that there was no shim supplied for mounting the PowerPod to non-31mm handlebars (even a simple £5 bell comes with the necessary shims).
I am currently using a plastic shim of the correct size - note it is plastic and not rubber or a material like that. The outer handlebar diameter is 24mm.
How much is the PowerPod affected by not having a rigid metal on metal mount? What sort of difference is my current metal-on-plastic-on-metal mount going to make?
PowerPod mount - no option for smaller handlebars?
Re: PowerPod mount - no option for smaller handlebars?
99.99% of our customers have oversized handlebars. That's why we don't supply shims for skinnier mounts.
If you have a shim you can use it with our mount. Just make sure you tighten the mount so that it cannot rotate on the handlebars.
