I did two out and back calibration rides today.
The first was a disaster after apparently going well and getting to 100 w and displaying actual power for a short time the Powerpod kept cycling back to calibration mode and beginning at 50 w. I limped home with the device flashing red but showing power that seemed high.
I downloaded the ride, did a factory reset and set out again in the afternoon. This time all seemed to go well but at the turn point i noticed a slow leak in my front tyre but the tyre held up for the return leg but held only about 40-50 psi by the time i had finished.
I enclose both ride files.
My questions are:
Does the calibration look o.k.?
Did the slowly flattening tyre affect the calibration?
I hope not because I now have calibration fatigue.
Does the fact that I ride a Trek Domane with a slightly more elevated position affect the standard road bike profile sufficiently to worry about?
Did I have to carry my bike from the stop point the rides to the beginning of the return journey or was I being too cautious?
Lastly, Has the later ride file overwritten the earlier one because they look identical to me.
I would also like to thank Tom Gore and whoever else was responsible for the quick turnaround on replacing my first faulty unit with the present one. The care with which it was packaged was vital because the postie threw it over my 6 foot fence and it literally landed on my front door step.
Thanks in advance for your assistance

Re: Newbie calibration qustions
Please ignore the question about the two files looking identical. I think I must have opened the same file twice

Re: Newbie calibration qustions
You have two different cal rides. The 1557 file is OK.
Answers to your other questions:
1) Cal is OK
2) No
3) No
4) No
5) More recent cal rides (later date/time) overwrite older ones.

Terrific. Thanks John. Those were the answers I was hoping for.
