iBike app iOS5 bug fixes and new features are on the way

Post by Velocomp »

We've squashed a number of bugs:

1) elevation errors in + Power are fixed

2) lost calories in CC is fixed

3) "double needle" in zone gauges is fixed

Also, two new features have been added:

1) Twitter function has been added that posts basic ride stats

2) Zone Gauge for power, using a DFPM power signal, has been added

Look for ibike app 1.0.10, coming soon at the App Store.

John,

The elevation issue still exists for me. I updated to the newest iBike software that you just released, performed a tilt calc and then looked at the elevation profile. The elevation is still reading at over 31,000 feet. I live just a bit over 1300 feet above sea level.

It looks like there still may be a bug; we are investigating and will report back as soon as possible.

John,

Thanks. I didn't actually go on a ride. I put my iPhone into the PhoneBooth to check to see if there was a potential firmware upgrade as well. Decided to scroll over to the Elevation screen that I have and it still was showing 31000 feet as the elevation.

Thanks for taking a look at this again.

Hi Jeff

have you set reference elevation in advanced options first as the ibike app doesn't auto cal, as i don't get the wrong elevation on my iphone with the OS5 once reference is set.

just a thought

Mark,

That is a good point, and I did set the reference elevation prior to checking the new app version. Still showed elevation over 30000 feet.

Mark,

I had already set the reference elevation when I was receiving the erroneous elevation numbers.

I'm still waiting for a ride file that illustrates the problem. This will help us figure out what is going on.

John,

I can send you one that was made prior to new updated software.

If you can, please send a ride file that is both pre-and-post the update.

If you don't yet have a file post-update, simply set your iBike Dash next to your bike, spin the wheel for a while to create a ride file, then save the ride.
