Power/Watts Inaccuracies Outside Ride
Power/Watts Inaccuracies Outside Ride
Rode all winter on rollers and power/watts output dead on. Switched off trainer mode and have taken 3-4 outside rides and power/watts numbers not even close (87 avg for 1.5 hrs). Normal s/b ~215. All other metrics (cadence, distance, HR, MPH) dead on, so I know it is not a battery issue. Any suggestion or comments on what is causing this issue...Thanks in advance.........Jim B...

Re: Power/Watts Inaccuracies Outside Ride
Power for indoor and outdoor rides with the iBike are calculated completely differently. Indoors on the trainer, your power is calculated only on your wheel speed and then applied to a curve for your particular trainer model. Outdoors, the ibike uses opposing forces to calculate power, eg Wind speed, wheel speed, acceleration, gradient, air and road friction, so you need to have a accurate profile. I would suggest you go through the ibike calibration process again, eg cal ride, coastdowns etc and check your results again.
