Have you tried what RRuff suggested:
Make sure your wind cal is good then coast down in a hill in coastdown mode, don't press the center button to do a coastdown. Just roll down a hill that will get you up to about 45kph.

As you roll faster and faster the wattage will start to go in one direction or another. This is where you see both negative and positive watts. Too positive and your CdA number is too high, too negative and your CdA is low. You would like to see watts hovering around zero at about 40kph.

Thanks again. I have, in the past, used the CD function to monitor a downhill coast to check the profile. I usually aim to try these things on a ride that is at least of training value and so the 2000 watt spikes that the coastdown function puts in my ride file are a pain to deal with and I shy away from it.

Guess I need to just go do a throw away day and just not work to hard at it, like mix in a recovery ride :-).
