Wind Scaling

New user here and quite impressed with the PP over-all. This is my first foray into riding with power so I have no real basis of comparison, but what I can say is that the power numbers seem "legit" - they respond almost immediately to surges, coasting, climbs, descents, drafting, just riding along, and are repeatable.
Pretty impressed, so far.
One concern though: I'm using profile 2 and I noticed that the wind scaling is set at 1.240 for the out-front mount; is that right? I've read here that it supposed to be 1.7
I'm also using my own mount which doesn't extend out as much (my head unit is a Garmin Edge 500) Is that the correct wind scaling? Sorry, but total noob here, just started using the PP.
I've attached my latest ride for your info (and if you can take a look and see if the numbers are all in order).

Was this a group ride or a solo ride?

If a group ride, please do a short out and back solo ride.

Mostly solo. Rode with a group at 30km mark, for about 15kms (loops).

Yes, that will work just fine.

Hi John, here's my out and back ride file. Please note that the actual out and back (loops) began at around the 1.4km mark. I had to change the original route and restart the loops due to some traffic issues.
However, from the 1.4km point to the end of the ride (same as starting point), it was a pretty consistent ride, total distance was about 10.5km more or less.
Hope this will suffice, thanks for the help.

I used the command Analyze/Check Calibration... to correct your profile.

Load this profile into your PowerPod and you'll get much more accurate readings.

Looks okay, I guess...no comparison so I'll assume all is in order.

Hi John

I did the out&back calibration for both my road bikes. The mount that comes together in the Powerpod box is on bike #1, on bike #2 I have a Garmin combo mount.
Can you help me on checking both profiles? I have wind scaling values a little bit higher than the suggested values, especially on bike #2.
bike#1 calibration ride was made on a flat road with a lot of 90°turns, no wind, no traffic, no draft.
bike#2 calibration ride was made on a flat and straight road. It was lightly windy, and 5-6 cars overpassed me, no draft.

I am asking for your help because in the fine-tuning video I have seen that wind speed and wheel speed should be similar as more as possible. And they are not.

Wind scaling depends heavily on the position of your PP on your bike.
