Hi
I'm having some issue with my PP where the initial power measurements during the first 6 to 10 minute period of a ride I'm either getting very high numbers compared to the lack of effort I'm making or 0W, this is after I've done a 10 min cal procedure and I haven't moved the device in the clamp so it's not the 8 minute setting alignment function.
I've attached a couple of data files which show what I'm seeing;
For road_24_05_2017_1249_26_km_HiDef the first 8 1/2 mins is suspect
For road_25_05_2017_1214_28_km_HiDef the first 6 mins is suspect
For road_23_04_2017_0849_61_km_HiDef the first 7 mins is suspect (mostly 0 watts with this one)
Thanks
Paul

Re: Bad readings from first 6 to 10 mins of rides
If you remove the PP from it's mount it will take about 8 minutes to recalibrate so this is normal. It needs to figure out the tilt % before power numbers are accurate.

Re: Bad readings from first 6 to 10 mins of rides
As I said in my OP I haven't moved (or removed) the PP from the clamp, and the period of "bad" data is variable. I have experienced the 8 min effect and I know it's exactly 8 mins and what I'm seeing isn't that.
Re: Bad readings from first 6 to 10 mins of rides
Your ride files are showing a huge variation in slope offset from ride to ride.
Please confirm that your PowerPod is attached to its mount, that it cannot rotate in its mount, that the mount cannot rotate on the handlebars, and that the handlebars cannot rotate.
Something appears to be a bit loose...
Also: you don't have cadence signals in your ride files, even though you have a cadence sensor ID. You should probably replace the battery in your cadence sensor.

Re: Bad readings from first 6 to 10 mins of rides
Hi
I checked the clamp but this was secure but I could put another 1/2 turn on the thumb screw holding the PP to the clamp and I think it's done the trick. I haven't downloaded the last data yet but the readings on the Garmin looked good.
Re. the cadence sensor - thanks for the information on the battery level but why is it that I'm getting a good reading on the Garmin?

Do a new sensor pairing. It's possible the cadence sensor ID in your PP is wrong.

Hi John
If I pair sensors again does this invalidate my cal data?
Is it possible to set the sensor number in a profile through Issac?
Thanks

Cal settings are unaffected by sensor re-pairing.
