Log files "missing"

Post by Bugsbunny »

Hi John

I have a separate thread (PP disconnecting) where you requested I upload the logs.

So today I connected my PP to my ISAAC for MAC and I could see it transferring and saving the files. However, I cannot seem to locate the log files from last night. Strange.

As I understand the file naming convention: its like ibike_06_25_2016_0524_16_Miles.ibr
This is my LATEST log.

So if I'm correct, this is a log from June 25, but last night was July 29th. That should be the LATEST log I have. So many of my ride logs are not there since June 25th or so.

When I open the file folder, everything is ordered chronologically, so I can see no log files exist since 25 June.

I have counted that I have 63 log files. Where my every ride time is say 2 hours.

EDIT - I've since been able to find in ISAAC which says PP is 18% full. Secondly, my PP is a replacement and I stumbled on a screen that had the option to "update device time" - which I cannot find now, but I did do it. I am assuming as it is a replacement PP the system time was not up dated??

Nonetheless, the last three log files distance don't seem to align with my ride distances last night - so I'm a bit lost if they are indeed the "correct" logs albeit with difference system times.

Any ideas?
Thanks

In Isaac go to the Download Ride File window, then select "Show Download Window"

On the window that opens, select the dropdown menu list.

The ride files at the bottom of the list are your most recent files.

If your PP clock is not set, then the date and time will be wrong, but the ride information will be there.

Thanks John

I followed your steps above.

The latest file seems to be 03_30 - so something under a date of "March 30". I can remember I start/stopped Garmin Connect THREE times last night (as I could't get the PP connected) and in the PP log files I have TWO files under March 30.

In any case - for THIS thread, what I will do is go out and log a new ride and then see if the system file naming aligns with the dates.
EDIT -- Yup - did a ride and the new ride files now match the dates/times.

For the connection matter, I'll continue in the other thread to keep things logically flowed.

Thanks again.
