adding sensor to powerpod bike profile

Post by .:Tim:. »

Quick question-

I want to add a DFPM to one of my bike profiles, What is the most efficient way to do this?

Should I scrub the profile from PP and conduct a new calibration? or edit the profile in Isaac?

I have the ANT+ sensor signal #.

I have the same question too. I wasn't able to get my PowerPod to recognize the Quarq Riken AL power meter so i attempted add it in Isaac. I am able to input the ANT+ ID and i don't know what value i should use for "type". The next thing is, how do i enable it?

Here's what to do:

1) Wake up all your sensors, including your DFPM.

2) Press-hold the PP button for about 4 seconds, until it goes into pairing mode.

PP will pair to all the ANT+ sensors it sees, including the DFPM.

Note that PP cannot "calibrate" the DFPM, so it's possible the readings it receives from the DFPM might be "off" (this is especially true with SRM).

What would then cause PowerPod not to pair with a DFPM like my Quarq Riken AL?

The only reason I can think of is that your DFPM was asleep when you put PowerPod into pairing mode.

It was not asleep. The Edge 520 could see that it was awake. Why it is not possible to manually add the power meter to the profile? I tried to add it but i couldn't get Isaac to enable it.

I was wrong...

PP is not configured so that it can receive DFPM data.
