Windows XP: Unable to Connect to eAero

Post by isoia »

I've installed version 4.0.4 of the client software. When I bring up the (iBike) client, I cannot "Connect" to the Aero. I receive the "Unit is not responding" error message. I have never successfully connected to the Aero.

I disconnected the Aero.
I de-installed the driver and re-installed the driver.
I re-attached the Aero through the USB synch and saw Windows recognize the Aero by name.
I checked to see COM Port 7 assigned to the driver and with no errors reported. Status is "This device is working properly."

When I disconnect the Aero, Windows seems to have forgotten about it - no messages at disconnect time.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks,

Greg

A buddy had an issue like that and fixed it with a fresh battery.. worth a shot.

Connect your USB Adapter to your computer and your iBike to your USB Adapter.

Click the center button to make sure your iBike is turned on. Lean your iBike on its side; this makes it easier for it to connect to the USB Adapter.

Launch the iBike software

In the iBike software go to Device/Connect...

You should see "COM 7-Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART" show up in the Connect to iBike Window.

Click the "Get FW Version" button. You should see your firmware version appear. If you do then everything is working properly.

Click the Accept button so that your software will remember the com port.

Let us know if this works!
