Re: Troubleshooting help for new rechargeable mount
I am still having trouble. I get one ride out of a battery before I get a "bad batt" message. If I ignore the message I get another ride recorded ok but after that subsequent ride files are split into multiple files. I have done this with 4 batteries. The rechargeable batt looks like it is...

Re: Troubleshooting help for new rechargeable mount
I am also having problems. Despite new cr2032 & fully recharged rechargeable battery I get a "bad batt" message every time i start up my iAero. Batt level drops immed to 260s. I press the central button to remove this message & proceed with my ride. The ride file is split into mult...

tilt accuracy
Hi,
After a tilt cal. if I was to put my ibike on a slope which read, say, 3.0 % and then turned it around 180 degrees, what would be an acceptable range of values to expect? (-2.8 to -3.2 %?)
Cheers, Chris

Hi John,
Any updates on the new wireless mount? I have a second bike that I am interested in setting up with my iAero but would rather wait for the new mount.

Hi,
Had exact same thing happen recently. Solved the problem by moving the cadence sensor a but closer to the magnet. Presumably under high load the frame/pedal is flexing sufficiently to make the dist between sensor & magnet too large.
Cheers, c

Hello all, Had a small problem downloading my rides list today. Tried all the usual things: rebooting iB4 software, rehousing iAero onto usb mount, rebooting computer, no joy. After removing iAero battery and reinserting it eventually downloaded todays ride. When I disconnected the iAero from the US...

Re: Difficulty pairing to sensors
An update. Received a new battery cover. Initially the iAero wouldn't pick up the sensors, including doing a scan in setup, so did a hard reset on spd, cad and HR sensors. Still no joy so did a hard reset of the wireless mount and worked like a charm. Had three rides now and no troubles with pairing...

Re: Difficulty pairing to sensors
Hi John, Thanks for the quick reply. I think I have the answer! Was having problems again today and as a final resort in the process of taking the iAero off the mount to do a hard reset the battery, batt cover and a small slither of black plastic fell out. My earlier observation of the cover being a...

Difficulty pairing to sensors
Hi all, For my last two rides my iAero has been having problems pairing to the speed, cadence and HR sensors. This morning I put the iAero on the mount, turned it on, Batt test good, and wind cal performed as usual. However, it then wouldn't pick up the sensors. On my 20 min ride to my meeting point...

Hi,
I had a similar problem. Once I covered the screen (and red button) with tape the unit has worked ok since (ca 3 weeks now).

Hi, Russ: Prob ca. 30 degC (85 F) when I did my calib ride/coast downs. Coachboyd: Just noticed in my earlier thread "Newbie calibration question" that the first time I did a calib ride (ca. 4 months ago) I got a tilt of -0.3. This was before I changed my bike setup: moved seat forward, al...

Hi all,
Just an update. Still none of those problems that I had for a few weeks since covering the screen with tape. I would strongly recommend this even if you aren't having any problems. I also covered the red button, just in case.
Cheers, Chris

Re: Low CdA?
Hi all, Thanks for your efforts Coachboyd, John & Russ. John, I also noticed that when "Crr adjusted" was used that a sensible CdA was generated as well as a low Crr. I had discounted this option due to the low Crr. I had thought the lowest reasonable value would be 0.004 when riding o...

Re: Low CdA?
Hi, Most of the roads are reasonably smooth here in Adelaide, at least compared to what I was used to in New Zealand. The aggregate used is a lot finer. Still get rough areas though where the roads need resurfacing. Maybe the marketing people at Assos would like to claim that their clothes are givin...

Low CdA?
Hello
Could someone please check my data. I have set Crr to 0.005. My weight is 80 kg and height 1.78 m. The CdA seems low at 0.278.
Only use coast down data from 10:15.
Thanks for help,
Chris A

Hi, Thanks John, I have contacted Aaron. I have followed the advice CoachBoyd gave in the earlier thread where he suggested covering the screen with some clear packing tape. Thanks Coachboyd, just need to find one of those spots now.
Checked the gradient of my coastdown spot as i rode past yesterday, ca. 1-1.5 % incline as getting up to speed and ca. 1.5-2 % incline during coasting.

Thanks for the message, Travis.
My coast downs were done on a section of road that was flat while accelerating and started going up during the actual coast-down. Sounds like it may have been a bit too steep.

WLS_FAIL & other related(?) problems
For about the past 3 weeks I have been having all sorts of problems with my iAero. Just noticed that FW404 has been posted (which I have downloaded)....any chance the problem I was having is related to the "improved CdA measurement (iAero only)" tweak?
