Fit Test Watts Per Kilo to FTP Formula?
Fit Test Watts Per Kilo to FTP Formula?
Hi. Is there a way to convert my Fit Test number (watts per kilo) to a functional threshold Power number? I did the fit test today, and I want to see what the 20 minute average would be. Thanks!
Re: Fit Test Watts Per Kilo to FTP Formula?
Sure, you can take your w/kg result and multiply it by your body weight in kg.
For FTP results you want to use about 95 percent of your 20 minute watts. So if you did 300 watts for 20 minutes, then your FTP would be 285.
In the next firmware this will be calculated automatically with the option for you to enter your own FTP number as you see fit.

Re: Fit Test Watts Per Kilo to FTP Formula?
Thanks Coach Boyd. This may be crossing forums, but in trainingpeaks they ask for watts threshold as a way to figure out training intensities. Do you have any idea if this is the straight watts average over 20 minutes, or is it the FTP formula? Thanks if you know.
