Setting 4 profiles in my Upgraded PP.

Post by Kcblair »

Hello John,

Thanks for the upgrade key. Something simple , just isn't. I've gone through some threads on how to set all 4 profiles into my PP, but I just can't make it work. What am I missing. I have 5 profiles , that are active and I have chosen my 4 most used.

What now.

Thank You,

Ken B.

Edit: I just don't want to do, 4 O&B runs. These are good , 4 profiles.

Nope , PP is only finding 1 active profile, on 1 bike. Any Ideas ?

Thanks so much.

Connect PP to Isaac.

Go to Edit/Edit Profiles

Click the "Extract from Device" button. Your active profile and profile number will be shown.

Click the "Set Active Profile in Device" drop down menu and select a different profile. Extract the profile.

You will eventually have all 4 profiles. You can post them here if you wish, but my suspicion is that something is wrong with them.

Ok, that should be all for now, it's Sunday, you should take it easy.

Now, once we solve this problem, how do I remove a profile from the PP and make room for the 5th bike, when I use it , as I have an active profile for that bike.

Again, thank you so much for your help.

I did follow this instructions, all 17

Please do the following:

1) Attach your PP to Isaac

2) Go to "Device/Setup/Reset Profile_Device"

3) Click on the "Reset Profile 1" button. You will get a confirming message

4) Repeat step 3, for profiles 2, 3 and 4

5) You have now reset your PP so that all 4 profiles are empty.

6) Go to Edit/Edit Profiles

7) Select all of the profiles shown in your window, and delete them with the "Delete" button

8) Click "Accept"

9) Open Edit/Edit Profiles. You should now have an empty profile window.

10) There are 3 profiles attached to this post. Place each profile on your computer's desktop

11) Go to Edit/Edit Profiles

12) Click the "Import" button. Import the three profiles, one at a time. As you import each profile, you will find it added to your Profile window

13) You now have your 3 profiles in Isaac.

14) In the Edit/Edit Profiles window, click on the *Set Active Profile in Device" drop down menu to profile 1.

15) Highlight the bike profile you would like to put in profile 1 (for example, Allez). Click the "Send to Device" button. The Allez profile will now be stored in profile 1 of your PP

16) Select profile 2 using step 14. Highlight another of your bike profiles, then click the "Send to Device" button.

17) Repeat the above steps for your third bike, to place its profile in Profile 3 of your PP

You will now have your three bike profiles stored in your PP.

Your speed sensor IDs are unique. So, when you want to ride "bike 2" wake up the bike 2 speed sensor ONLY (do not awaken the speed sensor on bikes 1 and 3). Then, wake up PP. After a few moments your PP light should go solid green, indicating that it has found profile 2, for bike 2.

The same process will apply when you ride bikes 1 or 3. Just make sure the only sensor awake is the one you want to ride.)

Re: Setting 4 profiles in my Upgraded PP. AAAAH-HAAAA

I figured out what is happening. Stupid me, I didn't follow instruction 14 & 15 properly. Just did a complete test and got 3 of the profiles to connect, I repeated 14&15 and got the last one too connect. Going to run through a third test and call it a day and ride.

So, my last question, how would I over-ride one profile, to add the 5th bike, when I use it ?

Thanks sooo much John.

Ken B.

Third test successful.

Here's the procedure:

1) Connect PP to Isaac. Go to "Edit/Edit Profiles/Set Active Profile for Device" to select the profile where you want to add bike #5.

2) Suppose you select Profile 4 as the one you where you want to add bike #5 (note that you can pick any profile number).

3) In this example, the profile for bike #4 is stored in profile 4. Make sure you have the bike4/profile 4 stored in Isaac; use the command "Extract from Device" to transfer the (current) profile 4 into Isaac. Then, click "Accept".

4) Next, set up your parameters for your NEW bike #5 with the "Device/Setup Device" command. Select "Best Accuracy" in the final step. Disconnect PP from Isaac

5) Do a sensor pairing for bike #5, and then a cal ride. You now have all parameters for bike #5 stored in profile 4 of your PP.

6) Reconnect PP to Isaac, and use the command "Edit/Edit Profiles/Extract from Device" to transfer your bike #5 profile, which is stored in profile 4.

You should have in Isaac all 5 profiles stored in Edit Profiles.

7) If you want to put bike #4 back into your PP, connect PP to Isaac, go to "Edit/Edit Profiles/Set Active Profile for Device" and select profile 4.

8) In the profile window, select (highlight) the profile for bike #4, then click the "Send to Device" button. This will overwrite your bike #5 profile (which is stored in profile 4) with your original bike #4 profile.
