When in doubt use a generic Kurt Kinetic profile.

Also, since you ride outdoors, you can calibrate the "feel" of your indoor trainer against the experience you know outdoors.

Well the generic mag setting didn't seem right at all. Let me add that I got the trainer that comes with what is basically a 7spd thumb shifter to increase and decrease resistance. Since it is of little use in my case I took it off before even using the trainer.

I has a fair bit of resistance off the bat. I started flipping through different models and ried the "Elite: Super Chrono (level 5)". That felt much more accurate, but I kind of felt like a was cheating a bit, so I tried "(level 4)", and that seemed pretty close. Not perfect but close. Not sure its close enough for me to be too comfortable with boasting my ftp off to my riding buddies, but good enough for basing on work outs.

And, man is Zwift like crack. Had some fun riding with some guys from Japan that were slow like me. :D
