Hi,
I think that this might be common to many riders. We take long rides and often take brakes, resulting on Aeropod powering down. The issue is with Isaac/Velocomp-Aero software now logs the ride as two rides. Combining the rides in the sftwr is cumbersome as this is needed for all of our rides. If the auto powerdown could be optionally disabled, that would solve the problem
Thanks
feature req. Disable or change timed powerdown
Re: feature req. Disable or change timed powerdown
This raises an issue: how does AP tell the difference between a ride break and the end-of-ride? Some percentage of our riders take ride breaks, but the rest do not. But everyone stops the day's ride at some point. If we do not interrupt the ride file at breaks, this would force EVERYONE to manually stop AP ride file recording at the end of ride. Seems like that would be an inconvenience to 100% of our riders...crwheelr wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 2:13 pm Hi,

Let me know if you have a different solution

Re: feature req. Disable or change timed powerdown
Can the timeout be changed to an hour instead of the 30 minutes or so it is now? I think most of us that stop it's for a quick lunch/coffee break. I've also experienced this and having to remember to turn it back on.
While we are on feature requests - a fellow rider yesterday had a great idea - what if in a future version you upgraded the mount to a garmin twist-lock? This would make it much quicker to move between bikes not to mention getting it perfectly aligned everytime.

We will investigate auto-off options.Niloch wrote: ↑Thu Dec 25, 2025 11:09 am Can the timeout be changed to an hour instead of the 30 minutes or so it is now? I think most of us that stop it's for a quick lunch/coffee break. I've also experienced this and having to remember to turn it back on.

We use a GoPro mount; this is an open-source mounting mechanism. I suspect Garmin's mount is proprietary; if it weren't we would see Wahoo and others use it too.
