1040 Compatibility

Post by AN2019 »

Any plans to update the data field so that it’s compatible with the 1040?

It looks like the 1040 reads ANT+ data, and is compatible with ConnectIQ apps, so it should work just fine with our products.

Along with a bunch of other apps and data fields, the Aeropod data field isn’t available for the 1040 through the ConnectIQ store. I’m sure it works fine, it’s just Garmin being Garmin. Is there a way to load it without using the ConnectIQ store?

Hmm...that will require some investigation.

So, I was able to install an ancient version of the data fields from 2018, by downloading the .prg and placing it in the apps folder of the 1040. Whether it will actually work with Aeropod is a different story. Is there a way to download the latest .prg?

The app you have should work.

The AeroPod CdA app was created by an independent developer. I don't know if we will be able to get the .prg version.

So, it DID work. I was able to do a Profile 3 calibration and record a ride.

Which is going to lead to my next thread LOL.
