Slope offset from out and back calibration

Post by crwheelr »

HI Velocomp,

I have tried four times to run this Isaac initiated calibration run. Tried different calibration name, tried different profile number. most recent is profile #3.
Each time the slope values are offset by some rediculous value. Can you explain what i am doing wrong?

Thanks Charles

The cal ride file does not have any real meaning. What's important is this:

1) After the cal ride was completed, did your light go out (it's supposed to) or did it go back to solid yellow (failed cal ride)?

2) If you have a ride file created AFTER this cal ride file, please post it

3) The most common cause of failed cal rides is that the device is not reasonably level to the ground. If your PP is pointed too high upwards or downwards, the cal ride will fail.

NOte that i have a KINEKT Suspension Stem on this road bike, but i can see that it maintains handlebars parallel dhroughout its travel. This should be okay right: it does dampen the higher frequency vibrations from the aeropod.

Please post a .ibr ride file from AFTER your calibration. This is the only way I can check things.

I don't know this stem but, if there is ANY change in angle it could cause problems for your AP.

John,

here are two after cal ride files that were in fact one ride. the aeropod cycled off at a rest stop. Please have a look.
Couple questions if you would.

- is there a method to join ride files, such as in this case?

- i have deleted many obsolete cal ride files from the data folder, but reference to those still appears in the isaac selection list? any way to resynchronize the daatabase to the folder?

- When initiating an isaac cal ride, asks for name of the calibration file. and then after the cal ride, with isaac, asks for the name again. Is it this second entry of cal ride name that is used?

- last thing, the name of the ride file, in my case Klein.... where can i change the customizable part of the file name?

thanks for all,
Chuck

Ride files look fine.

1) Use this command to append the later ride file to the earlier:

2) I don't understand your question about resynchronizing the database.

3) The cal ride file name is picked when you use the setup wizard; the same name can be used whenever the profile is selected. The name is for your reference only; AP and Isaac don't select according to name

4) When downloading a ride, click the "Show Download Window" button. In the next window you can customize the name of your downloaded ride. In this example the ride file is named "APG3P3".

Go to "Edit/Edit Profiles". You will see a complete list of all the profiles you have created and that are stored in Isaac.

Highlight the profiles you want to delete, then click the "Delete" button. Make sure to click the "Accept" button after deleting the unwanted profiles.

John,

thanks for the help. I am very satisfied with your Aeropod product having logged about 2K miles on it
