AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I currently do not have a power meter. I am thinking to get the Aeropod + so that if I ever get a power meter then I will not have to upgrade.

Will the AeroPod+ without a power meter do everything that the Powerpod V3 + options such as Powerstroke, GPS, and Pitot tube will do or will I run into some problems because it expects a power meter to be present? Is there any disadvantage besides cost to getting the AeroPod+?

Is there anything that the Aeropod+ will do that the Powerpod V3 + options will not do?

AeroPod+ functions identically the same as a "regular" PowerPod V3 with all the optional features installed.

When you pair AeroPod+ to a direct force power meter, then the exclusive CdA features of AeroPod will function.
