My winter bike is very busy with cables in the area under the bars near the stem, and I can't just move the mount a bit further out because the bars I use are only round in section right next to the stem. If I use an out-front mount it interferes with my front light which is higher priority than knowing my CdA. I'm also considering making this problem worse by using a cable-to-hydraulic converter for disc brakes that would also live under the stem.
With the mounts I already have I think I can only place it out of reach of the cables etc if I can mount it inverted - will it work OK upside-down?
Assuming that it works, would I need to build the static pressure hole at the back of the keel a little (open) hat/umbrella or something to keep the rain out, or would it be enough to just check it's clear from time to time?
Can I mount aeropod upside-down?
Re: Can I mount aeropod upside-down?
AP will work upside down, but you're correct that you will need to keep both the wind and baro ports free from rain.
