Question about calibration ride?

Post by ScottChapman »

How important is the location where one does the calibration ride? Does the route need to be flat(ish) with no traffic?

Can I just ride around our large(ish) parking lot?

If your calibration route has a lot of sharp turns, such as you might have in a parking lot, that is not good.

I have a 1.1 mile loop where I do calibrations. Gentle turns. That is fine.

I got a little confused during the initial setup.

If I select "Better Accuracy" it says that I can just go ride. But When I initially paired my speed sensor to the device it appeared to need a calibration?

In AeroPod, a "Best Accuracy" calibration is initiated, no matter what is selected in Isaac.

Also, a calibration ride is forced whenever a sensor pairing is done.

These items are covered in the instructions.
