Powerhouse and VeloTrack Apps

Post by EHB »

Quick Q I can’t find answer to: if the Powerhouse is running is it necessary to also have the VeloTrack App running in the phone’s background?

Incidentally, the developers’ version of Golden Cheetah currently Syncs with Strava. As you know it is open source and free. If you need both apps to be running maybe just copy what they did with Isaac. They get swimming and running too; you might not want that. You could also steal the HR data (for duplicate files) from data stored on Garmin head units, Wahoo head units etc, as they all link to Strava. I think the AeroPod is Ant+ only, but most phones and lots of head units add Bluetooth capabilities.

I think I found the answer to this question with trial and error.

I only activated the powerhouse app and it sent GPS data to Strava when I asked it. It didn’t send the data to your server and magically appear in Isaac. It seems like both apps need to be running, which is a pity as I thought I’d be able to just start one.

Correct; Isaac syncs only with Tracker app.
