Switch Profile from #4 to #3?

Post by kq6up »

If I just edit the name of a profile from #4 to #3, will it just become a normal profile, or do I have to set up from scratch for profile 3?

Thanks,

You have to do four things:

1) Switch the profile number in Edit/Edit Profiles

2) Enter the parameters for your new profile, either in Edit Profiles or using Device/Setup

3) Pair sensors to your new profile

4) Do a cal ride for the new profile

I was able to get it to switch without a cal ride. The same sensors, and I wanted to use all the same parameters from my CdA profile (#4) to #3.

1. I edited the number.

2. I used the "Set Active Profile" feature to select #3.

3. Sent the edited profile.

4. Extracted profile from device -- "viola!" the correct profile in #3.

Yes, that will work!

Note that you have the same sensor IDs in two profiles. Automatic Profile Selection won't work properly in this condition; you will have to switch profiles manually.

I have had to do that most of the time anyhow. While I am thinking about it, can you guys put the ability to select trainer mode in PowerHouse?

This actually would be a significant effort (new commands back and forth from device to app).
