PowerPod V5 - Blocked Port

Hi

The attached two files are my ride in and ride back from work today. It was very wet on the ride in and you can see the wind port gets blocked. However, I thought the new firmware allowed for this by using wheel speed to calculate power.

Then on the ride home the port still appears to be blocked for half the ride. However, for the whole ride the PowerPod is showing power well above what it should be (I thought blocked post always showed lower power as it does in the morning ride). It was fairly strong wind conditions today, about 15mph with a headwind into work and a tailwind going home.

Any ideas why it did not allow for the blocked port and why the power is so high in the afternoon file?

I looked at your ride files and can't explain what happened.

It appears that your PP was not calculating things properly.

Please do a hard reset of your unit. If you see this problem after that please let me know.

I did a hard reset after those rides. The next day I did the normal commute to work where I pushed on a bit. The power did seem more or less what I would expect. Here is the file.

On the ride home I did an extended ride. The first twelve miles look generally okay for power. However from twelve miles to about twenty six miles the power is well above what I would expect. I stopped at that point and hard reset the PP and the power thereafter seemed okay.

I did two commutes and the power for those rides where okay. Here is the ride to work file.

Do you think there may be some form of intermittent hardware issue?

Your commute is basically on a slight downhill. Your 8/3 ride shows 195W avg, at a speed of 20.6 mph, and your HR is 124. The 8/4 commute is much lower in watts, but your speed is lower and your HR is lower. So, I think your files are OK

Your 33 mile 8/3 ride has widely varying terrain, including lots of hills. Your HR is a lot higher--130 avg, suggesting that you were working much harder.

I don't see anything suspicious in these ride files.
