Hi,
i did the calc ride and also a long ride for about 100kmts.
1. I think the power figures are a bit high. Can you check that please? Im 65kg , 175 height, bike 10kg TT bike. CDa near ,25. Used the pitot tube.
2. when i connectd the ppv5, i found a lot of files. Like the PP did multiples files for the ride, dont know why. Each file is very tiny and contains like 5kmts. I used the merge option at the isaac to have only one file.
the ppv3 always did a single file for the whole ride.
thanks a lot

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files
Your profile has 2 problems:
1) your CdA is incorrect; the ride file shows 0.465 but your TT CdA is 0.25. This will cause watts to be way too high
2) Your wind scaling is slightly low. This will cause watts to be slightly low
Both are corrected in the attached profile.
Your AP is set to profile 4; this splits the ride file every time a lap command is sent. If you have your Garmin set to auto lap this would explain things.
Install the attached profile in profile 3. This will stop the ride file splitting problem.

Hi John,
did several riides with yuor suggested setup file and this is the today one.
I think and felt a bit low figures...like 25-30 watts lower than my perception. Sometimes i know that is too low.
Check it please.
thanks a lot

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files
I'm seeing a lot of laps in this ride file; are you using an automatic lap feature?
Which profile are you using?
The ride file is fine if you're riding a TT bike.
Where are you located? Wherever it is, it is quite cold there!

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files
Mmm
No automatic laps... i pushed every lap thats near 4,9kmt each.
The profile is the number 3 as you suggested.
Mmm i felt that i was phshing hard in some sectors and the pp showed forexample 140w...or 160w... i know that was near 200w. Also at the max i know i was near 300.
Iam in argentina. Today was between 3 and 7 celcius.... cold ..very cold.
Oh..did you see the heart rate?
In the garmin was ok..but here in the isaac i saw some weird figure.
Thanks

Re: PPv5 calc ride / too many files
HR did not register. You may have to do a new sensor pairing and cal ride.kdx200 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 12:56 pm Mmm

To be clear, you are riding a TT bike, correct? If so, your watts are consistent. Most of your intervals are in the 180W range, and in a few you pushed up to 224W.
