PPv3 reset?

Post by kdx200 »

Hi John,

ive been using for the lasts months without any issues.
Last weekned i move to another location and maybe the aerobar moved a little from the original position (maybe 0,1 centimeter, no more).

I went for a long ride (out and back) anf the power figures were too low for me..... i rode a little and then moved the PP while riding to let it to re calibrate.

Nothing happened. The power was too low and also the winds were headwind (checked with the flags facing to me!!) and the IQ field showed tailwind.
Then coming back was the same...tailwind . Check the file please.
it has 125k aprox....wheres there are legs for about 25-30km in each way . It started with a clear headwind fpr the first 25k o something like that. Neveder did a drfting as i rode alone.

do the pp needs to be reset and do a new cal ride? as i wrote, perhaps the pp moved in my car trip a few milimeters when i put the bike in the trunk. I thought that the PP recalibrates if some minor movement is detected.

is it possible to fix this ride and see the real power outut i did?

Thank you very much

Your earlier ride files look normal.

Your recent file suggests a partially blocked wind sensor. Make sure it is clear, then do another short ride; please post the results.

John -

Could the blockage be pretty much inside the case? I don't know if the wind sensor reaches from the sensor on the internal electronics board to the case or if there is some kind of gap - if there is room between the two inspection probably needs some care to determine a blockage.

I also do not know if this customer has a pitot.

Anyway - some debris somewhere seems likely.

Your 12/18 ride file looks OK, but the new calibration is a bit low. In fact, I applied your prior calibration factor and got great results.

Corrected ride file is attached, along with your prior profile, which I suggest you load into your unit.

yes.. this new file you corrected has figures that matches my perceived effort. Thanks

By the way and for my understanding, i also checked in the Isaac the "new" calibration i did (the one you told is a bit low) at the profiles tab... i cant find that. or it is inside the PP?

i will use the last one you sent that is my previous cal ride and is being used for the lasts months as ive never moved the pp.

thanks
