Do I need to re-calibrate after swapping new wheels?

Post by ning »

There is a weight difference of 2 lbs I guess. Should I re-calibrate?

Also since I plan to swap wheels for different rides, if recalibration is needed, can I keep two profiles for two different setup?

Unless you are riding on a LOT of hills, I would not recalibrate. Weight has an important watts influence when gravity (slope) is significant but even here, assuming your total bike/rider weight is 200 pounds, it would probably make only a 1% difference in watts.

Here in Florida where I live, it is pretty flat and minor weight changes have a nearly-zero influence on watts.

If you are riding on lots of big hills then yes, you can duplicate your profile and adjust weight. You will have to switch profiles manually if you go this route.
