firmware 8.01

Post by mir »

Hi John and others,

I have now used the firmware 8.01 on my PPv3 for 200km rides and the experience was pleasent :D
I have made the following observations:
1) Connection is more stable and reliable
2) Numbers seems more correct and no sudden peaks or drops
3) Pairing is quicker - almost instantly
4) No fall outs in the ride file
5) Seems to operate a little longer on the battery - less power draw. Perhaps a consequence of a more stable connection

Tested with Garmin speed sensor v2 and Coospo speed/cadence sensor (https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Techno ... B07CDCPF4Z)

Kudos to the PP development team 8-)

Regards Michael.

Hi john,
I am afraid I have to report that the problem occurred again yesterday and I have to follow the same approach as explained previously. This time I noticed that powerpod stopped sending data to garmin but the connection was maintained since garmin showed that PP was connected when I closed Garmin.
This is the ride: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/6852951608
I can provide the ride file from PP if it is needed.

The firmware is 8.02
