Exaggerated watts and slopes

Post by doib »

Hello John,
I'd like to show you a ride with crazy watts. As you can see, towards the end of the file there are values like 1700 watts, definitely not in my capacity. Maybe you remember, I configured the mtb wheel with two magnets and half wheel size (garmin gsc 10 sensor) and I had problems with the readings going from mtb to road bike. You fixed it by updating the firmware, and my PP V3 has always worked fine since then. The impression, however, is that today's problem is caused by something else, because even the readings of the slopes related to the power peaks seem decidedly excessive. Maybe a bad fixing of the PP? Or maybe I should decide to replace the sensor with something more compatible with the PP?
Thanks, see you soon
Davide

Look at your slope; it goes to nearly 50%!

What happened is that your unit was bumped out of position, pointing it up into the air.

Make sure your mount and your unit cannot rotate. This will fix the problem.
