Very low wattage numbers

Post by burgerdp »

Yesterday I did this ride. It was 100% out and back. I had not used the PP for a while, but now I am trying to get it set up so that it closely correlates to my DFPM (4iiii). In the attached file my PP readings are far lower than the DFPM. By very low, I mean approximately 40 watts difference between the two,

I would attach the file from my other power meter, but the forum won't allow me to attach a fit file.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Put the .fit file in a zip form.

What's even better is .gpx or .tcx, which I will be able to merge into Isaac.

How tall are you? What is your ride position?

Today I reset the unit and did a new calibration ride and then went for a 10 mile ride. Here are the files from that ride.

To give you some of the other information:

70 inches tall
165lbs
Bike+stuff 25lbs
Riding on the hoods
50mm deep carbon clincher wheels
Continental GP5000 tires with latex tubes

If you need anything else please let me know.

Thanks

Your new calibration is much better.

I merged the .tcx file into Isaac using the command "File/Merge Data..."

PP is within 4W of your 4iii

Merged file attached.

Hi Burgerdp,

I just added a 4iiii left side crank power meter too. I have set the calibration with the help of John.

Have you managed to pair the cadence data from the 4iiii sensor to the PP?
