Ride Check Please
This ride was on gravel, which was very rough (bone shaking) at times. There were also some sections on paved where I would get in a tuck. Power recorded on those sections was around 300-350w. Wind was moderate. Had several dog chases. PP recorded high watts during these very brief accelerations.

Re: Ride Check Please
I don't see any obvious problems in your ride file.
When you go into a tuck your CdA goes down, and you go faster.
However, in PP watts calculations, CdA remains at the (fixed) higher number; so, it interprets your higher speed as a result of more power on the pedals. That is why your watts go up.
Most people's watts go up when they are being chased by dogs...

Re: Ride Check Please
Hi John,
Thanks much for the feedback. I modified CdA to 0.42 based on feedback you had given a cross rider. I am 5'9" with real broad shoulders and am on the hoods most the time.
Some of those dogs were good runners and the adrenaline would spike. My wife wants me to carry mace, but I worry about homeowners in the country with firearms not appreciating that.
