Advice for a noob!

Decided to dip my toe into power based training without spending millions.

Didnt get off to a great start faffing with profiles and pairing only to discover after 4 hrs my Lezyne sensor is bluetooth only and Doesn't transmit ant+ like every other bluetooth sensor. Then my ancient ant+ cadence worked but not speed :( :( And my Edge 1030 hid the fact by using GPS speed.

Anyway, finally got to do my calibration ride. Profile set to cadence left above, tyres 700x28 (but actually running 700x30 that measure real world 28). Rider and bike weight slightly light at 200lbs and powerpod sitting underneath my garmin outfront mount as level as i could get it by eye. Computer reads a Flat stationary slope of -0.7% using the IQ app.

Calibration conditions probably not great - F6 gusting F8 wind but after nearly 6 hours forking around i had to get out. Power clicked up to 100 Calibrating then started reading real power.

I know the answer will be just ride it and get more miles in but didnt have time for more than a spin round the block......flat power up to 150 ish pootling round but the hill at the end of my street. Sprinted up and rapidly climbed to 450 and hit 500 watts cresting the hill!!! WTF i thought. Cant be.

I’ve no experience of power other than a brief ride with a guy i bumped into commenting on the flat “we’re putting out a fair bit of power for a steady ride” but can that be normal? I was expecting a peak around 300 tops but 450-500 seems ridiculous. “Need more miles” and a file to analyse: I know, but wondering whether i’ve mucked something up or if the gale force wind would cause problems and i need to go back to scratch and recalibrate or just stick as is and ride?

The first 5-10 min is fine tuning so the wattage is not reliable.

Thanks. Just get out and ride it then!
