new guy here as far as using any sort of power tool whatsoever, price has always been a factor. The $200 for the PP V3 Life was the kicker for me to throw my hat in the ring. 59 year old and just want to see what is I am working at and give me something to set goals to. I did manage to get the install done but had a pretty difficult time doing the calibration but it's done and I have only a short test ride to check it out and it seems ok. I do have two bikes with different speed and cadence sensors in both. I want to be able to use both bikes. I downloaded the Powerhouse App, not free by the way, a whopping .99 cent, but it's there and I fuddled my through setting up bike 1 profile. When I go to bike 2, does pairing the new sensors mess up the pairing or calibration for the first bike. I am just not confident as I am really not full of warm fizzles that I calibrated the first bike correctly. I did here the peeps when the sensors paired, but getting it into cal mode was not so easy and I really didn't feel that confident in the procedure with all the blinking/solid green, blinking red, orande, lights out whatever. Does the green light stay on after a ride is started and if it goes out, what happens if a stop is made mix ride, what to do to restart it or how long do I have to restart and can a restart be done once the ride is started? Sorry so long but this really isn't that simple a device to use even though it has just one button to operate it. I could just be too old for these new tricks.....

You've got several questions in your post, so I will parse them out and respond with CAPS (not yelling, just being clear...)

"When I go to bike 2, does pairing the new sensors mess up the pairing or calibration for the first bike."

NO. THE SENSOR IDS AND CALIBRATION PARAMETERS FOR EACH BIKE ARE INDIVIDUALLY STORED IN EACH PROFILE. IF YOU ARE CREATING MORE THAN ONE PROFILE, USE THE POWERHOUSE APP TO SELECT THE NEW PROFILE. THEN, WHEN YOU DO SENSOR PAIRING WITH YOUR NEW BIKE MAKE SURE YOUR OLD BIKE IS AT LEAST 100 FEET AWAY. THIS PREVENTS THE POSSIBILITY OF YOUR PP PAIRING TO THE SENSORS OF YOUR OLD BIKE.

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED THE SETUP OF EACH PROFILE, INCLUDING CALIBRATION, FOR SUBSEQUENT RIDES YOU PUT PP ON THE BIKE YOU WANT TO USE, START RIDING, THEN CLICK PP BUTTON TO WAKE IT UP. PP WILL AUTOMATICALLY SELECT THE PROFILE YOU'VE CREATED FOR THE BIKE YOU ARE RIDING.

"I am just not confident as I am really not full of warm fizzles that I calibrated the first bike correctly. "

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU FOLLOWED THE PROCEDURE PROPERLY. THERE IS A DIAGRAM IN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT SHOW HOW THE LIGHTS BEHAVE DURING CALIBRATION

"Does the green light stay on after a ride is started and if it goes out, what happens if a stop is made mix ride, what to do to restart it or how long do I have to restart and can a restart be done once the ride is started? "

THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY THAT A SOLID GREEN LIGHT MEANS EVERYTHING IS WORKING PROPERLY, AND THAT THE LIGHT GOES OUT AFTER A FEW SECONDS, TO PRESERVE BATTERY LIFE. IF YOU STOP MID RIDE, AFTER YOU RESUME RIDING YOU CAN CLICK THE BUTTON TO MAKE SURE PP IS AWAKE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE LIGHT WILL BE SOLID GREEN, THEN GO OUT.

"Sorry so long but this really isn't that simple a device to use even though it has just one button to operate it. I could just be too old for these new tricks....."

I THINK YOU HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB OF READING AND FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS. YOU'RE ALL SET!

Thanks for the prompt response. I did a good ride and the power seems to read as expected except the fact that it goes to zero anytime the road goes down hill, no matter how hard you feel you are driving. I will attempt to pair up bike two tomorrow. Thanks for the the confidence in my set up, it all see.s good and is perfect for what I need. How easy is it to upgrade to include Isaac software? Thanks.

Thanks John for the link to software. One more cal and bike profile question. Can I create a bike 2 profile, link it's sensors to the PPV3 and cal later? If so, how do I get the PP into cal mode at the start of a ride. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can create two profiles and link sensors afterwards.

If you've created two profiles and linked sensors afterwards to each profile, then to get to the cal ride mode do the following:

1) Click PP button 5 times to make sure it is off

2) Wake up the sensor on the bike where you want to ride

3) Click PP button to awaken it. After a few seconds it will switch to the profile associated with your active bike

4) Assuming that you haven't done a cal ride for the profile/bike selected, PP will automatically go into cal ride mode.

Thanks very much! That sounds good, and actually easy.
