Hi,
I have a powerpod V3 which I've had for nearly a year.
It has been working fine until recently when it has begun to show 0 watts for most of a ride and will only show power numbers when I am generating higher power (such as moving away from traffic lights or climbing steep gradients.) The power number, when is is showing, also seems to be too low.
I have a wahoo speed sensor mounted on the front wheel and a wahoo cadence sensor mounted on left crank and they are all paired to a lezyne enhanced super GPS. The powerpod is on the handlebars
All sensors seem to pair well to each other and to the lezyne head unit.
I had recently changed the batteries in the wahoo sensors however, I did have a few rides where the powerpod was working correctly after i had done this.
All other data recorded from the powerpod seems OK except for the descents which seem to show way too much braking. This particular ride was on a gusty windy day.
I have tried a new calibration ride which was successful, however during the ride after calibration I had the same problem.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
Ride file and bike setup attached
Regards
David

Re: Powerpod only periodically showing power
The problem is your Crr, which in this ride file has somehow has been set to -0.0265.
To give you an idea of what this means: A Crr of 0.00 would mean that there is no friction between your bike tires and the road. So, if you were coasting on a flat road with no air resistance, your bike would coast forever with its speed never decreasing.
But a negative Crr is even more amazing: on a flat road, as you coasted your bike would pick up speed! An obvious impossibility...
Please do the following:
1) Connect your PP to Isaac
2) Go to Device/Setup Device...
3) Enter the parameters for you and your bike
4) In the final step, select "Best Accuracy"
5) Do a new cal ride
This should fix things.
