Changes in profile...need to recalibrate?

Post by msduran »

Hi.

I have 2 questions related to the same topic on changing profile settings.

1. I got new tires for my bike. They are of the same kind I used before during O&B calibration. However, looking at the box, I noticed that the tire circumference is a bit larger than that used by Isaac. The default setting for a 700x25C is 2105 (a 25-584 size), whereas my GP5000 has 2145 (a 25-622 one). Since then, I am willing to change tire size from 700x25c to <Measured> and set it to 2145 in the profile.

2. My bike+rider set lost around 2 kg since O&B and I also thought I could change it in the profile.

So the question is if I change both settings (tire size and rider+bike weight) in the profile and send it to Powerpod, should I do another O&B calibration ride after that? Or is it safe to send the updated profile to Powerpod only? Because I don´t have a good place to do the O&B ride easily.

Best regards.

Change your profile but don't do another cal ride. It's not necessary.
