Powerpod Gen1 to V3 Lite - Battery Query

Post by jamball »

Hi guys,

I'm a long time powerpod user, with a Gen1 ANT+ unit from 2016. The battery doesn't last too long on this unit unfortunately, I sometimes have to charge it mid ride (on a long day).

How long should a V3 Lite powerpod battery last?

PPL V3 has a new battery circuit design. The battery should be good for about 20 hours of continuous riding.

You can trade-in your Gen1 unit for a PowerPod V3 and get a 30% discount. That's less than the price of a new PPL V3

20 hours....ok that's pretty good and liveable with.

I saw the rebate option, but since I live in Ireland and once I pay for the return of the gen1 unit to get the rebate, the value of the Gen1 unit has diminished. I only have 1 bike, so if profiles is all the full V3 gives me, then I've no need. I'm thinking of selling the gen1 unit and using that money to discount the V3 lite.
