Negative Friction detected after check calibration

Post by alainlai »

Dear Velocomp,

My PC crashed and I lost all my bikes' profiles. How do I backup my bike's profile using Isaac? I did a new device setup and did some calibrations.

Pls verify my ride file. Thanks.

Aero 1.029 -> 0.650
Wind Scaling 2.920 -> 1.844
CdA 0.353 -> 0.353 m^2
Fric 5.936 -> -122.739
Riding Tilt -0.3 -> 15.7 %
Crr 0.0044 -> 0.0044
Cal Weight 82 -> 83 kg
----------------------------------
Avg Power 176.3 -> 131.0 W
Avg Wind 6.4 -> -0.7 km/h

The negative friction number is suggesting that your PP angle has shifted significantly.

I would do a new calibration ride.

While in this case it sure looks like the PP tilt is radically different )not just identified by the friction coefficient, but also the tilt value), the answer to your other question about profiles - you can extract profile data from good rides. This feature is part of Isaac. So if you did not trash the ride files, then you can open and extract the necessary data.
Velocomp has made the calibration process so simple that having to get a new one is not much of an interruption to your rides.

Thanks for your feedback. Re-aligned the powerpod and did the O&B ride over the weekend. :)

Go to edit profiles, and export to some other folder. I have a USB drive always plugged in , to backup Important stuff. Had a HHD go down, was lucky , I had just exported all my current profiles.
