Calibration Question

Hi,

I just got my powerpod and am very excited to start training with power. I did an out and back calibration a few days ago and then a short ride and I thought everything looked ok, but the out and back went much, much faster than the instructions said. It was nowhere near 5 minutes each direction. Then I did a ride today and the power data was definitely off. It was very windy today but I don't think that accounts for it. I'm thinking that perhaps my port was partially blocked for the calibration but it wasn't today. What would account for a shorter than normal out and back calibration?

I'm attaching the calibration file, the ride I did right after calibration, and today's ride.

Thank you very much for any help you can provide,

Joshua

I'm not sure which instructions you are using, but the current version of instructions says the out portion of the ride lasts only about 2-3 minutes. You have a unit with the latest FW, so you should be getting a short cal ride.

Your 11/3 ride file looks OK, but your ride file of 11/6 shows very high winds. I will need to see a ride file under calmer circumstances to check things.

Thanks for the help John. I'll give it another try on a calm day and see what happens.

Hello again,

I finally got a chance to do another calibration and ride on a calmer day. Would you mind taking a look at these and let me know if everything looks ok? The numbers seemed much better this time around.

Thanks,

Joshua
