Hi
When you do a cal ride, is this only to establish the wind scaling and angle, does a calibration modify any settings not visible in the profile section?
When we do a check calibration is this just modifying those data field just on the basis of a longer distance and therefore more accurate data collection (I. E. how can you be sure a cal check is better or more reliable than the original?)
What does calibration set
Re: What does calibration set
1) Correct. Cal ride calibrates the wind sensor and accelerometer, and does not affect any other user/set parameter.
2) Actually, the reverse is often true. Cal rides are reasonably short because this minimizes the possibility of changes in wind speed or weather. I use Check Calibration only when I see something obviously wrong in the ride file, such as an abrupt change in slope due to the device being bumped, or because of a blocked wind port.
