AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I have been wondering since I read somewhere that you could also pair a heart rate sensor to PP what the purpose is. At present I have paired a speed and cadence sensor but I first started out with only pairing the speed sensor. After pairing the cadence sensor I have noticed that PP is more responsive to power input due to pedalding cadence which is nice but what influence will pairing a heart rate sensor have?

A HR sensor is totally optional. If an HR sensor is paired then the PowerPod ride file will record HR readings. However, the HR readings will have zero impact on power measurement.
